Our Work-Based Component gives high school students the chance to have first-hand experiences on the job while giving employers the chance to train tomorrow’s workers today. In a work-based learning setting, students explore a career path they are interested in pursuing. Work-based learning often strengthens academic learning and reinforces the connection between education and employment.
Opportunities for certified work-based learning include the following:
Cooperative Education Skills Certificate
Each of the above provides students with a Skills Certificate at the completion of the program.
NOTE: Not all schools in the consortium offer the same opportunities. Students interest in one of the above should check with their School to Career Coordinator.
